As I have given how too's on my previous posts I won't bore you again with how this is made but will list below everything used to create this card. I just adore those hares, they are just gorgeous arn't they. Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by.

Hi and welcome. Today I am sharing my most favourite of my Clarity Stencil makes. Inspired by my love of elephants and a dream of one day being lucky enough to go on an African Safari....dream on Bev 😂

So here's what I used...

Clarity Stamp stencil...Winter Tree.
Inkylicious stencil...Scenic Clouds.
Inkylicious stencil...Twin Peaks.
Deep Red stamp, African Elephant.
PaperArtsy stamp, In all things of nature.
Lavinia Stamps...Birds.
Grasses at bottom is a stamp by Studiolight but I have no packaging for name. You could use any for this.
Distress Inks...Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and black soot.
Distress Oxide ink...Peeled Paint.
Polychromo pencils.
Frosted shrink plastic.
Black versafine ink pad.
White ribbon.

Here's what I did...

I began with my usual 8x8 white smooth card and placed my stencil down. I stamped the image where I wanted it and stamped again onto masking tape. I covered my image with the mask. At the same time I cut a sun from masking tape. I secured the stencil with low tack tape to ensure there was no movement. I worked out where my horizon was to be and and laid a piece of paper across and began blending my grass area. Once happy I then covered that area in the same way as before to blend my sky. Once I was happy with the blend I removed the mask from the sun and replaced it with the negative to allow me to blend in the sun. I then used the Scenic Clouds Stencil to create the clouds using black soot very lightly. I then used the Twin Peaks stencil to create some mountains with the black soot in the distance. Once happy with everything I removed the stencil and the mask from the elephant, which I then coloured with polychromo pencils. I stamped the wording, birds and grasses (grass stamped with the peeled paint distress oxide ink) at the bottom. I felt it needed a small elephant in the distance. I didn't have this so used shrink plastic to create one. This also enables him to be reversed for a better effect. He fitted in that small place behind the tree perfectly 😊 I had no matching ribbon so used white and dragged it through some spritzed Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint distress inks and there is the perfect matching ribbon. I then trimmed the card and mounted the fished piece onto some green card stock, then onto orange before mounting onto my card.

She Believed she could...so she did

Today I am sharing another of the Clarity stencil cards. This one uses the bullrushes stencil. This was before I removed the bullrushes. Yes, gasp, I cut them off. I found I preferred it without and it saved the difficulty in trying to hold them up to blend, and of course ruining the stencil in the process anyway. This is a really straightforward card to make and quite easy.

Here's what I did...

When using these stencils I always like to start with an 8x8 piece of card. This allows me space to add things around the finished work. It can always be trimmed down once happy but you can't add to it if you've started small. I placed stencil down and secured with low tack tape. I knew my image was going to be stamped over the inked area so no masking was needed in this case. Makes it easy as it was just a case of blending the inks to create the sand and water. I liked the softer, creamier look that the oxides give. Once happy I removed the stencil and stamped my lady. I added colour to her dress and hat with polychromo pencils in the same colour. I added to the water around her feet with a white gel pen. I then stamped the wording. I stamped some birds on the opposit corner, added a shiny butterfly from my stash and cut one of the wildflowers in matching cardstock to finish. I then needed ribbon. I had nothing to match so picked some white from my stash and used the broken china and cracked pistachio spritzed with water to colour the ribbon. Quick dry with a heat tool and voila...perfectly matched ribbon. I then tied this to the card, made a bow which I always secure with a hot glue gun. Mount to coloured card, then to main card.

Make a wish

Today I'm posting one of my favourites from the Clarity Stamp makes. This one is is not among the personal challenge though as this one uses the Winter Tree stencil. Made in the same way as the last card by placing the stencil and stamping the image, in this case the cats face. I then lifted the stencil to enable me to mask off the eyes and nose. The stencil was then carefully replaced and taped in place. The inks were then blended to create the scene. Once happy, the trees and bunnies were stamped with black versafine ink. Stencil was then removed to stamp the wording, large bunnies and stars. I coloured the cats eyes and nose with polychromo pensils. I used a white gel pen to create the stars. I mounted card onto a black mount before a matching colour mount. Then onto a white card. Finished card measures approx 7.5 x 7.5.

So here we go for my second post. This is one of the many cards I've produced over the last few months, which started out as a personal challenge to myself using two Clarity Stamp stencils I have had for about 5yrs and not used. How many could I make? Well I made a few and then a few more, and surprised myself at the same time as building quite a following on social media. I had many questions on products used and how they were achieved and made many aquaintencies along the way. If only I'd had a blog to visit. Anyway enough rambling and here goes...

A real mix of products used for this card but the making of them all is pretty much the same. I placed the stencil onto smooth white card stock and taped in place to avoid movement. I then worked out where the boy was to stand and stamped him in place and at the same time stamped him onto masking tape. Place masking tape over image and also cut a mask for the sun. I began to blend my inks onto page masking off areas as I went until happy with the look. I then removed the mask from the sun and placed the piece it was cut from over to work on the blend for the sun. I then stamped my rocks. I then stamped the water ripples over the water with the same ink as the sea blend. Then I removed the mask from the boy and also the stencil. I coloured the image with polychromo pencils along with the rocks. I stamped my sentiment and also the birds and seashells at the bottom using the dot pen to add to the shells and add filler. I die cut the seagulls and explore and glued them in place. Last was too create some waves/sea foam, I just dabbed on the embossing paste and heated it with a heat tool. This paste is fab when heated as it bubbles, creating the texture. Last of all I mounted my piece onto the orange card and then onto the final card which I made also. The final card is quite large at just over 8x7. I hope this gives a good idea on how these cards are created and although they are all different, they are all achieved in roughly the same way. I hope to post the others over the coming days 😊

When you feel like quitting.

A simple card for today and also a test run for this blog as it's all new to me and totally blogging mind blowing 😂

So here's what I did. I started with distress inks in chipped sapphire, festive berries and mustard seed which I blended on to smooth white card stock. I then took the girl stencil by Stencil Girl and inked through with black soot distress ink. I then stamped the verse from Visible Image with black versafine. I finished off by blending festive berries through the hearts dinky stencil by That's Crafty. I did a quick blend around the edges with black soot before mounting. I think this verse applies to us all at times. Hope you like.
