The future is in your hands

Hello and welcome

I am very much enjoying a well deserved week off work so where did I end up? You've got it, the craft room. It has been a while since getting in here and getting mucky and it has been great fun I have to say. I decided on this fab stamp set by Visible Image for my first make. How true is that saying...The future really is in your hands.

Here's what I used...

Rather than list it all I have saved time by taking a photo of items used for this make. The only thing I missed was the Ranger Texture Paste in Opaque Matte, Clear Embossing Powder, and a the stencil used for the texture around the edge. I have no idea on the make or name as its in a folder with no packaging. Any stencil of your choice will do :-)

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of white card stock and just swiped the first three ink pads down the card and then blended over the entire card with the Antique Linen.

Take the first hand stamp and ink up with the Versafine Ink pad. I used a stamp platform to allow two or three impressions. Quickly sprinkle over the clear embossing powder and heat until melted. Repeat this with the second hand.

Take the wording from the same stamp set and stamp this with the black Versafine Ink in between the two hands. Take the word discover from the second stamp set and stamp this using the Archival ink pad in Magenta Hue.

Take the stencil and texture paste and apply randomly around the edge of the card. I like to heat set this as it bubbles up slightly to give a slightly bubbled finish. Once this is dry, take a blending foam and the Abandoned Coral and blend around the edge of the card to darken the edge.

Take the Treasure Gold in Brass and apply gently with a finger tip over the texture paste and around the edge of the card to give a soft gold shimmer. Take a green brush pen, or any colour you prefer to give the eye some colour.

Mount the card onto black card and then a piece of coordinating card and then onto your white card base. Remember to leave plenty of extra at the top to cut the corner to make the tag shape. Punch a hole and die cut the reinforcements. I had no matching ribbon so used a white ribbon that I coloured with the inks used on the card for the perfect match. I must admit I tend to do this most of the time as it saves on money buying many different colours that don't often match.

I hope you like it and as always, thank's for dropping by.

Will be back again real soon with another make. No stopping me while I am enjoying time off work.

Take care

Sing your own song

Hello and welcome

Back here again. Grabbing any spare moment I can to create something at the moment. This is a very quick and easy one and way smaller than my usual makes. It seems to be all about words and feelings at the moment. I think of or choose wording and find something to put with it.

I have taken a pic of the items used to create this card once again to save time :-)

Here's what I did...

I began by blending over the spun sugar over the whole card and then darken the edges with the victorian velvet. Take the dinky stencil by That's Crafty and a baby wipe and take off some of the ink in a couple of places. Blast with a heat tool to ensure dry before placing the stencil back over and blending through randomly with victorian velvet until happy with the look.

Take the Visible Image stamp and ink up with Archival Rose Madder and stamp onto the card. Take the microphone from the Sheena stamp set and ink up with Versafine Blck Onyx and stamp onto the card. Take the verse from the same stamp set and stamp with the same black ink. No stamp for the other wording so I used my P-Touch to type out the wording. I stuck the wording to white card and trimmed. Glue into place on the card and draw round the edge with the black Posca pen.

Mount this onto black card and then onto a piece of matching pink card stock and then onto a card base.

How easy was that. So no matter what people think... Sing your own song.

Thank you for dropping by and enjoy the rest of your week.

All for now.

Focus

Hello and welcome on this lovely sunny Sunday.

I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend. I had a little spare time yesterday and really wanted to visit a past technique which I have been thinking about all week but found I had run out of the main item needed to make what I had planned. I even tried a substitute material which was going quire well until I had to heat it. Sadly it all went wrong so made this very quick tag instead. It's all about the words for me lately and had these words in my head so this is this is the result.

To save time listing, I have taken a photo of products used to make this tag.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of card and blended the Tea dye and Bundled Sage over the tag until happy with the depth and blend. I took the Harlequine stencil and using a baby wipe, dabbed through the stencil randomly to remove some of the colour. I did the same again dabbing through with the Tea dye. Working out roughly where the camera was to sit, take the PaperArtsy stencil and applly Tea dye and Weathered Wood at the bottom of the tag. I took one of the elements from the Seth Apter stamp set and the Victorian Velvet ink pad and stamped part of it all the way around the edge. Then blend around the edges with Vintage Photo to darken.

Stamp the camera onto a spare piece of card using Baked Brown Sugar ink and sprinkle over the embossing powder and heat. Once cooled take the Antique Linen and blend over the whole camera. Cut out carefully. Glue the camera in place on the tag and set aside.

I did't have a stamp for my chosen wording and I didn't want to use an alphabet stamp so typed wording into the P-Touch and printed. I didn't want to stick this directly to the tag so applied to spare card and cut out. Glue in place on the tag and draw in some stitching using a black micron pen.

I found a little flower in my stash so glued this to the lens of the camera. To give the look of shadow in front of the camera I used the dots pen. I have to admit this is one of my favourite tools and use it all the time. Fantastic for shading and shadows :-)

Mount on to brown card and then I chose some card to pick up the colour of the rose. Mount on to tag base. Punch a hole for the ribbon.

No matching ribbon in my stash so used a piece of off white ribbon and applied Tea die and a little Vintage Photo to a craft sheet and spritzed with water. Dragged the ribbon through and dried. Thread a piece through the hole and then make a bow.

So make sure you focus on what you want and maybe you will get it. I hope you like it and as always, thank you for dropping in.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a fabulous week ahead.

All for now.

Much love, Bev. xxx

People in Life

Hello and welcome

I have made another quick and easy card. I didn't actually know where I was going with this. Had an evening to myself last night and had this verse that I really love and just stamped it to the side on a piece of card and went from there. This was the result. I wasn't that keen at first and it very nearly went in the bin but I thought no, keep going and see what happens.

Here's what I used...

Inkylicious stamp... Some People in Life.
Deep Red stamp... Alice Standing.
Inkylicious stamp... Moon complete with stencil and mask.
Carabelle Studio stamp... Rabbit from Alice and Wonderland I think. Had ages and bought as is.
Leonie Pujol stamp set... Feathery Flourish.
The Crafters Workshop stencil... Mini Microbial.
Versafine Ink... Onyx Black and Smokey Grey.
Ranger Archival Ink Pad... Shadow Grey.
Ranger Distress Inks... Squeezed Lemonade, Broken China and Weathered Wood.
Posca Pen...Gold.
Signo Pen... White.

Here's what I did...

I began by stamping the verse on the right of the card with black ink. Then stamp Alice to the left and the moon between the two. Stamp Alice onto masking paper and carefully cover the stamped image. Now use the mask for the moon and carefully cover that. Using the distress inks in squeezed Lemonade and Broken China, blend gently using brushes to get a soft even colour blend, leaving it very light over the wording. Once happy with the colour take the stencil, place over Alice. Take theWeathered Wood distress ink and blend across the stencil to give some interest.

Remove the masks from Alice and the moon. Place the negative of the moon stencil over the moon so that you can easily position the moon stamp. Stamp the moon using the Shadow Grey. Now take the rabbit and stamp him onto the moon using the Smokey Grey ink pad. Brush over very sofly with the weatheredd wood.

Colour Alice using any medium you have. I used Whisper water colour pens. I felt I wanted a border for this card so took one of the elements from Leonie's stamp set and stamped around the edge of the card with black ink. Take the small flower from the same set and stamp one in each corner of the card.

I found a clock in my stash so decided to hang this from the moon. Glue into place and then draw a gold chain using the gold Posca pen. Add some white highlights to Alice using the Signo pen.

Mount onto a piece of complimentary blue card stock and then onto some lemon card. Mount onto the blue again before mounting onto the card base.

A very easy card to make and shows this awesome verse off well. I am sure we all have someone in our life that fits with this verse and I hope we can all be one of those people. Life is way too serious sometimes.

Hope you like it. Thank you for dropping in and have a fabulous weekend.

All for now.

Much love, Bev. xx

Believe

Hello again :-)

Well there I was filing away my new stamp used in my previous post when I came across the Leopard Prowl which I have had forever and not actually used. It's quite scary when you start rummaging through your stash, just what you have and often haven't played with. Well I had to have a go and decided on this very quick and easy make. I rather quite like the look on this Kraft Card. Gives it an organic feel I thought.

A quick pic of the items used to make this card to save time.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of Kraft Card and placed the stencil onto the card to give me a rough idea where to stamp the leopard. I used the stamping press so that I could remove the stencil and have the stamp exactly where I wanted it. Remove the stencil and then stamp the leopard onto the card using the black ink pad.

Place the stencil back onto the card and tape in place using low tack tape. Now take the distress oxide inks and an ink duster and blend over the wild honey, taking it over the top part of the stencil. Make sure to apply a good amount of ink. Do the same with the peeled paint at the lower part of the stencil all the time making sure you don't go over the stamped image.Take some spiced marmalade and a blending tool and blend around the edge of the stencil to darken the edge slightly. Take the ink duster and pinch the brush tightly to apply a few darker lines through the wild honey.

Once dry take the verse stamp and stamp at the top left using the black ink pad. Take the willow twig stamp and using the black ink pad, stamp along the bottom edge of the card using just the top part of the stamp. To give a little depth, do a few second generation stamping impressions too.

I decided the edges needed a little interest so I had a little look for something simple and decided on one of the elements from the Seth Apter Mark Makers set. Again use black ink and stamp just part of the stamp all the way around the outside edge of the card.

I felt the leopard needed an outer edge which the stamp doesn't have, so simply take a black micron pen and very carefully draw around the leopard. This actually makes quite a noticeable difference to the end look so rather pleased I did it.

Mount onto a piece of black card and then a piece of complimentary card stock and then onto a white card base.

I hope you like it and appreciate you stopping by.

All for now.

Much love, Bev. xxx

Believe in the Magic

Hello and welcome.

Well here I am on a weeks break from work. The weather is not bad but blowing a gale today. Sadly this seems to be the only real time I ever get to play in the craft room these days. Felt a bit lost and couldn't find half my stuff since a lot of it has been moved around but couldn't resist a play with a new stamp purchased at Ally Pally at the weekend. Yes I still went although a don't get the time to play. Hard habit to brake after 10 years plus. Never miss it. So here I am with a play with this awesome unicorn stamp from Inkylicious.

Here's what I used...

Inkylicious A5 Stamping Card... 350gsm.
Inkylicious Stamp Set... Unicorn Wish.
Inkylicious... Believe in the Magic.
Lavinia Stamp... Birds.
Lavinia Stamp... Moon.
Inkylicous Mask...Twin Peaks.
Inkylicious Masks...Hills I think, Unsure as very old.
Ranger Distress Inks... Worn Lipstick, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves..
Versafine Ink... Onyx Black and Imperial Purple.
Vellum Paper.
Cosmic Shimmer... Silver Lustre.
Stampendous... Silver Halo Mix.

Here's what I did...

I began by brushing over the whole card with Spun Sugar. I then began building the foreground using different pinks and the hill stencil. I masked off the moon before building colour for the sky. Taking the Twin Peaks I began building the mountains in the background. Taking the Seedless Preserves and a blending sponge, blend around the outside of the card. Once happy with how it looked, I removed the mask for the moon and stamped a moon using the Imperial Purple, second generation stamping so as not too dark.

Now to stamp the Unicorn. I decided to try this out on vellum and emboss with ball tools from the back to whiten the image and give depth and texture. I think it worked quite well. I stamped first with the black versafine. Turn over and emboss from the back and cut out carefully.

Now stamp the wording and birds using black versafine. Allow to dry for a moment and then glue the unicorn into place. Dab lots of silver lustre and sprinkle over the silver halo mix and tap off the excess.

Mount onto black card and then onto matching card stock. Finally mount onto the card base.

A nice fairy tale card with a little bit of magic.

I hope you like it and thanks for dropping by.

All for now, Bev. xxx

Beauty goes far deeper

Hello and welcome

Yes it has been a while again, but I am enjoying a much needed break from work right now. The week is whizzing by way too fast but I have managed a little play in the craft room. Sebastian again. He has escaped the acrylic piece I last made.

Here's what I used:

Lavinia Stamp... LAV496 Seahorse.
PaperArtsy Stamp set... ESC12.
Visible Image Stamp set... Dare to Swim.
Woodware Singles... ADS503 Netting.
Seth Apter Stamp set... 3180-LG Mark Makers.
Versafine Ink... Onyx Black and Imperial Purple.
Archival Ink... Watering Can and Garden Patina.
Ranger Distress Inks... Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord.
Ranger Perfect Medium.
Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powder... Brilliant Sparkle Clear Mirage.
Polychromo pencils.
Posca Pen... White.
Nuvo Crystal Drops... Ivory Seashell.
White ribbon from stash.

Here's what I did...

I began by blending over the distress inks, keeping the seedless preserve to the edges. Once happy, blend the dusty concord around the very edge just to darken it slightly. Give the tag a quick spritze with water and blot with a paper towel. Take the octopus and ink up with the watering can. Being a grey it will give the look of being in the background slightly and allow my main image to pop.

Take the versafine ink and stamp the seahorse, do the same with the verse. Colour the octopus with pencils. Take the posca pen and add highlights to the eyes on both the seahorse and octopus. Also add white dots to the body of the seahorse.

Take the netting stamp and using imperial purple, stamp parts of it at random around the tag. Take the lines element from the Mark Makers and stamp randomly with garden patina.

I felt a little delicate sparkle was needed. Using the bubbles element from the Visible Image stamp set and the perfect medium, stamp at random and then sprinkle over the embossing powder and heat. Take the Nuvo drops and dot randomly over the tag making sure they are all different sizes.

Mount onto matching card stock and then onto white card base.

Take the peacock feathers and seedless preserves and press onto a craft sheet, spritze with water and run a piece of white ribbon through to pick up the colour. Dry with a heat gun. Punch a hole in the top of the tag, die cut two hole reinforcements and glue in place. Cut a piece of ribbon and push through the hole and then tie a ribbon with the remainder and glue to the top of the tag. I like to use a hot glue gun for this.

I hope you like it and thanks for dropping in. Hope to be back very soon.

Enjoy the the rest of your week with this gorgeous weather we are having and don't forget the sunscreen :-)

Much love

Change our story

Well hello and welcome once again. I am feeling quite chuffed to have found a little more time to spend in the craft room. This time I couldn't resist playing with the stamps from the latest edition of Creative Stamping. The stamps are just fab and the elephants go so well with the elephant stamp I already have perfectly. This is based on a card I made a while back so just had to put them together.

Here's what I used...

Multi media card stock... 115lb
Stamps from Creative Stamping Mag... Issue 57
Deep Red Stamp... African Elephant
Lavinia Stamp... Tree but no name on packaging
Inkylicious Stamp... Bare Trees
Sheena Douglass stamp set... Change
Stamping up stamp set... High Tide
Versafine Ink... Onyx Black
Ranger Archival Ink... Fern Green and Orange Blossom
Tim Holtze Distress Inks... Weathered Wood, Black Soot, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Twisted Citron, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral and Mustard Seed
Blending Brushes and Foam
Cuttlelola Dot Pen... Black
Masking Paper
Polychromo Pencils
Sue Wilson Die.. Stitched Rectangles
Inkylicious Stencils... Reflections and Scenic Clouds
Gabreille Pollacco Stencil... Mini Moving Vines
Dreamweaver Embossing Paste... No name on this but believe it is their original paste

Here's what I did...

I began by workng out the size I needed to create by scene at the same time as working out which dies I would need as I wanted to cut a frame which would have a depth deep enough to incorporate the elephant. In order to have the elephant as part of the frame, stamp the elephant onto the card first using the versafine ink. Place the die over the top and work out the placement. Using a sharp craft blade, gently cut around the elephant to enable you to tuck the die behind the image and tape in place with low tack tape and then run it through the die cutting machine. You will now have a nice frame with the elephant as part of it which will allow him to stand out from the finished piece.

Using a die from the middle of the two used, cut this onto an A4 piece of card and take out the middle to give you a stencil to tape down over your card stock which will allow you to work within and have a neat edge. Stamp the elephants from the Creative Stamping set onto the card and also stamp it onto masking paper. Carefully cut out and place over your stamped image.

Take a piece of paper and lay across the card and begin blending over the greens to create the grass area. Once happy turn your paper round. Cut a mask to create the sun and then blend over the inks to create the sky. Remove the mask creating the sun and gently brush over with Mustard Seed until happy with the colour.

Take the Reflections mask and brush through with the Black Soot distress ink across the card to create the mountains. Using the same mask move it around and blend through with the Weathered Wood distress ink to give a look of depth to your horizon. Take the Scenic Clouds stencil and using Rusty Hinge distress ink, pounce through with a sponge to create the clouds. Once happy with the blending and the scene is created, take the tiny grass stamp from the High Tide stamp set and using Fern Green and Crushed Olive ink, stamp it randomly over the grass area to create a feel of tufts over the field. Use the Cuttlola Dots Pen to add more interest and help ground the elephants.

Take the Lavinia Stamp tree and stamp it to the right of the scene with the black Versafine ink and the tree from Inkylicious to the left so that once the frame is added just a small part will show. Take the verse stamp and stamp this top left. I felt the mountains were a little too crisp against the sky so I brushed a little Weathered Wood over the top to darken it slightly.

Now happy with the scene it's time to work on the frame. Cut a mask and place over the elephant. Using the Twisted Citron and Spiced Marmalade, brush over the entire frame. Then take the leaf stamp from the free stamp set and stamp it around the frame in Orange Blossom and Fern Green. Take the Mini Moving Vines mask and push through the embossing paste just on one vine down the left of the frame. Blast with a heat tool so that it lifts and bubbles a little. This paste is great for this effect. Gently brush over the Twisted Citron.

Now remove the masks from the elephants on both the frame and the scene and colour with shades of grey Polychromo pencils. Add a touch of brown to the tree and you're done.

Mount the scene onto some matching green card, making sure you have a depth deep enough to allow a border once frame added. Use mounting foam to allow the frame to stand up from the finished piece and carefully place it onto the card. Mount onto your card base. I used an ivory card for this.

Well that's enough typing...phew. A bit long winded so you may be bored by now haha. That's all from me and I hope you like it and maybe got inspired.

Enjoy the rest of your week and see you all again soon.

Much love

Just because your path is different

Hello and welcome. So here I am again. I'm feeling quite shocked that I managed to be back so quick. I found myself with a little free time so managed to make something quick and easy. I've had this verse for a while and not yet used it and I really like it so needed something to go with it. After a good old rummage I dug out one of my old favorites which I felt suited it well.

Here's what I used...

Paper Artsy Super Smooth Card... 240gsm.
Sheena Douglas stamp set... A Different Dream.
Indigo Blue Stamp Set... Lost In Benidorm.
Indigo Blue Stamp Set... Light and Sound Borders.
Bee Crafty Inkables stencil... Unsure of name but it looks like a chain link fence.
Versafine Ink... Onyx Black.
Momento Ink...Tuxedo Black.
Ranger Archival Ink...Orange Blossom.
Tim Holtz Distress Ink... Faded Jeans, Broken China and Weathered Wood.
Alcohol Markers.
Posca Pen... Red.

Here's what I did...

Stamp the image of the man onto the card using the Momento ink. I used this ink as I'm using alcohol markers to colour the image. Stamp the image again onto masking paper and cut out carefully. Stamp the verse onto the card using the versafine ink. I love this ink for stamping as it gives a really crisp detailed image. Take the mask and place it over the man carefully.

Take the Broken China and brush over the stamped image lightly, building up the colour gradually. Take the Faded Jeans and do the same again around the stamped image to allow a darker colour directly around the image. Once happy, remove the mask.

Now take the stencil and place in on the card and brush over the Weathered Wood lightly around the outside of the card. Take the arrows element from the Borders stamp set and stamp it onto the card using the Orange Blossom.

Now happy with the background, take your chosen colours of alcohol markers and colour the image. I decided to use a Posca pen to colour the verse as I thought it would give me a slightly shiny look but it didn't. Hey ho, it coloured it well so all good.

I did think of adding some dimension to the card using embossing paste but decided that it might spoil the look as I felt it was ok as is so left it there. Mount onto some navy card and then onto a white card base. Hope you like it.

All for now. Thank you as always for dropping in. Enjoy the rest of your week. Hope to be back again soon.

Much love

How Fragile Are We

Well hello and welcome to my world. It's been a fair while since I last found the time to have a play in my craft room. What with working full time and a home to run, time is scarce. I really think working should be banned and crafting made essential. I don't know about you lovely people but craft time is something I need in my life in order to be truly happy within. Crafting is a way of expressing ourselves and the things that happen in our lives on a daily basis. Anyway I did find a little time to create this tag using the new Visible Image Stamps. I must be honest I was a little unsure of the Bloom and Grow stamp set. I felt I wanted to have a play with it, but at the same time felt it a little eerie but not sure why. Mark twisted my arm at the Ally Pally show saying go for it so here we are. This started out at a quick play with it and ended up here.

Here's what I uses...

Visible Image stamp set... Bloom and Grow.
Visible Image stamp set ... How Fragile.
Inkylicious stamp set... Water Drops.
Marianne Designs stamp set... Eline's Brush.
Tim Holtz Distress Ink... Faded Jeans.
Tim Holtz Distress Ink... Broken China.
Ranger Adirondack Ink... Cranberry.
Stamping Up Ink Pad... Night Of Navy.
Verafine Ink pad... Onyx Black.
Signo Pen... White.
Fine Liner pen... Black.
Ranger Glossy Accents.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of plain white card and stamped the cracked image from the How Fragile stamp set in the middle of the card using the stamping up ink pad. Stamp the baby from the How Fragile stamp set using the versafine ink pad, I used a stamping platform so that I could stamp two or three impressions to ensure I got a solid image. Blend the broken china over the card, leaving it lighter in the middle. Once happy blend the Faded Jeans around the edge of the card gently until happy with the depth of colour. Take the Water Drops and stamp them around the card using the Stamping Up ink pad. Use the white signo pen to add some highlights to the water drops and also a little doodling around the edge of the card. Using a black fine liner pen, add some more doodling around the edge of the card.

I felt something else was needed around the baby so I took the small splodge stamp from the Marianne Design stamp set and stamped it randomly using the Cranberry Ink pad. I did this using second generation stamping so it was a softer impression. I also used this ink pad to lightly brush around the baby image.

Take the words from the How Fragile stamp set and stamp them onto a spare piece of card and cut out. Glue the words onto the tag. To help the water drops stand out, carefully fill each droplet with the glossy accents and set aside to dry. I like to leave overnight to ensure completely dry.

Mount the card onto black card, then onto a piece of dark blue pearl card, then onto a piece of white card, making sure you leave a longer piece at the top so that you have enough to cut the corners to create the tag. Punch a hole in the top of the tag for the ribbon. Using a die, cut two hole re-enforcement's in the blue card and glue in place over the holes. Create a bow using some blue ribbon and thread a piece through the hole. Glue the bow in place using a hot glue gun.

I hope you like it. I certainly enjoyed making it, and despite nearly not buying this stamp set, I'm rather glad I did. I will definitely be having another play with it again soon.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a happy weekend. I hope the sun shines for us all. Take care and happy crafting.

Much love

Bad Ideas

Hello again all you lovelies. Well I found a little time again last night for a play so I decided to use this bad boy again on a quick tag. That cat is sure in an awkward position.

Here's what I used...
.
Multi-Techniques Card... 250gsm
Katzelkraft Stamp... Mini 086.
Katzelkraft Stamp... Solo 079.
PaperArtsy Stamp set... Emma Godfrey EEG15.
Card-io Stamp Set... Greenery.
Clarity Stamp stencil... Double Sprig 7" x 7".
Stazon Ink pad... Jet Black and Bibrant Vioet.
Momento Ink... Black.
Archival Ink pad... Fern Green and Sunflower.
Ranger Distress Oxide ink pad... Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint, Lucky, Clover and Fossilized Amber.
Promarker Alcohol Pens.
Cuttlelola Dots Pen... Black.

Here's what I did...

Layer the distress oxide inks onto a craft sheet and spritz with water. Lay the card down onto the ink and keep doing this until happy with the coverage. Blast dry with a heat tool and repeat the process using the colours as desired. Once happy give the card a good spriz with water. Dry again. Flick on some larger drops and leave to dry naturally to allow some good oxidization. Once dry, place the stencil over the card and sponge through with the peeled paint. Blast with a heat tool until dry.

Stamp the dog and cat onto some spare card with Momento Ink. Colour with your chosen medium and colours. I chose alcohol pens. Cut out carefully and go around the edge with a black marker. Having placed my images onto my card surface I decided I needed something more on my background so took three elements from the PaperArtsy stamp set. The first one is the swirly circles and stamped at random using the Fern Green. I then took the element which are the lines around the edge and stamped with Vibrant Violet. The third element look like spiky circles which were also stamped randomly using the Sunflower ink.The verse is from the same stamp set as the cat which was stamped using the Jet Black. Glue the images into place. To ground the dog I used the dots pen. I decided at this point some leaves would be good so chose the leaves from the Cardio stamp set, which were stamped with Jet Black.

Mount the finished piece onto black card and then onto some matching coloured card. Mount onto a piece of white card allowing an inch at the top to form a tag. Cut off the corners and punch a hole for the ribbon. Cut two hole reinforcements in the matching card colour and glue in place.

I did't have any matching ribbon in my vast ribbon stash. Does it matter? No of course not as we can make our own matching ribbon. I always have lots of white ribbon for this purpose. Cut a piece sufficient for the bow. lay some distress oxides down on the craft sheet as before and spritz with water and dab the ribbon through until covered. Spritz ribbon until wet enough for the ink to soak into the ribbon thoroughly. Dry with a heat tool and there you have it. Perfect matching ribbon. Thread one piece of ribbon through the hole and then make a bow with the rest of the ribbon. I made a triple bow and glued this in place with a hot glue gun.

Hope you like it. Thanks for dropping by. Take care and happy crafting.

All for now

Multiple Personalities

Well hello again lovelies. I have made a fun make this time with these adorable dogs from Katzelkraft, don't you just love them. I wasn't totally happy with the background here as it didn't go quite to plan but hey ho, didn't have the time to start again.

Here's what I used...

PaperArtsy Smoothy White Card 350gsm.
Katzelkraft... Mini 085 and 086.
PaperArtsy... EEG21 by Emma Godfrey
Verse Stamp I'm unsure of as have no packaging.
Leonie Pujol...Lots of Texture
Dutch Mask... Brick Wall.
Cuttlelola Dotspen... Black
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint... Smurf, Space Cadet, Concrete, Snowflake, London Bus and Taupe.
Ranger Distress Ink... Barn Door.
Momento Ink... Black.
Stazon Ink...Jet Black.
Ranger Archival Ink... Watering Can and Garden Patina.
Breyer.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of card 6.5" x 7.5". I began layering over the fresco paints using a breyer until happy with the look, making sure the right side was left light. Lay over the brick wall stencil and using a stencil brush, apply the taupe fresco paint. Set this aside to dry thoroughly.

Stamp the images onto some smooth white card. I used promarker alcohol markers to colour my images but you can use whatever colouring medium you like. Carefully cut these out and using a black marker, carefully go around the edge so that there will be no white edges showing. Glue the images to the background card. I used a dots pen to ground the dogs. Take the verse and stamp in place with black ink. I used one of the texture stamps from Leonies texture set and stamped around the edge using the garden patina and one of the stamps from the Emma Godfrey stamp set to stamp the crossed circles using Watering Can.

Blend around the edge of the card with the Barn Door Distress Ink and then mount the finished piece onto black card. Then mount to a matching piece of red card before mounting onto a white card base.

Hope you like it. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and hope you all have a good week.

All for now.

Much Love, Bev. xxx
