Something Wonderful

Hello again. I am enjoying a much needed week off work right now so managed another card. More masculine this time. Would be good for fathers day possibly or even a Birthday card for a dad. The wording can be changed of course to anything you like :-)

Here's what I used...

PaperArtsy Smooth white card... 240gsm.

Kaisercraft... Discover.

Clarity Stamp sets... Bird outline, Mushroom outline and Tree outline.

Lavinia Stamp... Rabbits.

Istencil... Spherical Optical Illusion.

Masks... Hills and valleys.

Versafine Ink... Black Onyx.

Archival Ink... Watering Can, Potting Soil and Fern Green.

Stazon Ink... Olive Green.

Distress Oxide Inks... Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed and Faded Jeans.

Here's what I did...

I used the Outline Tree stamp to stamp the trees using black onyx. I wanted the top open so that my scene could come out of the top so made sure I didn't ink up the top part of the stamp. These stamps come with the matching masks which is great. I have had these sets since their launch on TV a long time ago but never used them. Place the part of the mask that has the cut out of the tree over your stamped image to allow the scene within to be created. This is simply done using distress inks and masks to create the grass and then the sky. I punched a small circle out of masking tape for the sun which I placed before blending the sky and used the negative part to create the sun. Once happy with the look, remove the mask and take the chosen stamps from the sets to create the scene. I used the potting soil and two different greens to stamp up the trees. The rest of the images are stamped using the Black Onyx. Once the scene is complete, place the other part of the mask over the tree so protect your image. Place the stencil over the entire card and blend through with the same colours used to create the scene. Remove the stencil and mask from the tree.

I chose the wording from the Kaisercraft set and stamped it with Black Onyx. Do the same with the rabbits. At this point I spotted the little squirrel and thought he would look just right at the base of the tree. Mount the card onto a piece of black card. Then mount to a piece of coloured card that matches the image and then onto a white card base.

I hope you like it. Made a nice change to create something a little different for a change. Having said that I do make all sorts depending on mood :-) That is the great thing about crafting after all. Just have fun and enjoy.

Hello gorgeous girl

Hello again. What a gorgeous day it's been here down on the River. Sunshine and blue skies all day and even had my doors and windows open. Oh I can't wait for the spring. I hope you have all had a super weekend. Well I found myself with some spare time this evening so what better way to spend it than in my craft room. I just had to get out the clarity stencil again. I do love them :-)

Here's what I did...

I began by taping down the stencil with low tack tape. Stamp the pathway in place and stamp again onto masking tape. Cut out carefully and place it over the stamped pathway. Punch a circle out of masking tape and place that where you want the sun to be. Now for the blending. Using strips of paper, place onto the card to enable you to create the sky, sea and grass areas and bush over the distress inks. Use the water effect stamp from the High Tide set to create the look of water. Take a sponge and pull in all the ink from the stencil to create the darker edge. Once happy remove the stencil and the mask from the path and sun. Now take the the mask you cut the sun from and place that over the sun so that you can now blend on the squeezed lemonade. Remove the mask and then lightly brush over the Mustard Seed to give the look of a sunset and take it down across the water.

Stamp the lady onto a spare piece of card and cut out carefully. Stamp her again onto a piece of pattern paper and cut out the dress and hat. Glue this over the stamped image. Softly colour her arms and legs and also the pathway. Glue her onto the card. Stamp the wording and then trim down the card to the size you would like it. Mount onto a piece of matching card and then mount onto a white card base.

There is always lipstick

Good evening lovelies. I hope you have all had a great Valentines day and got thoroughly spoiled. Time is still short for me sadly but I managed this really quick and simple make while waiting my turn for the bath lol. A girl always loves a good lippy :-)

Here's what I used...

Visible Image... Face it.

Visible Image...Dare to be differnet.

Versafine Ink...Black Onyx.

Ranger Archival Ink... Watering Can and Shadow Grey.

Stampin Up Ink... Red Rose.

Heart die... Unsure of make.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of white card and stamped the lips from Face It all over the card in the two shades of grey. I then took the x from Dare To Be Different and stamped that randomly over the card. Take the Watering can and blend around the edge of the card. Now happy with the background I stamped the lips from Dare To Be Different on a spare piece of card using the Red Rose Ink. I then used the heart die and ran it through my big shot. Before releasing it from the die, use the same Red Rose ink to blend around the edge of the heart. Stamp the lipstick using black ink, masking off the tip. Mask off the base of the lipstick and then ink up with the Red Rose. Cut out carefully. I wanted the heart raised so used foam pads to lift it, and used wet glue for the lipstick. Now ink up the verse in the same Red Rose and stamp in place.

Mount onto a piece of matching red card and then onto a white card base.

Hello. Well here we are again. It is the month of love so I thought I would get inky again with a little love theme. These ducks were just the right thing to use for a bit of a fun tag.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of card slightly smaller than my usual measuring 4" x 7". I stamped the ducks with black ink slightly to the left of the card and stamped them again onto a piece of masking tape and cut out carefully. I placed this over my stamped image before blending over the Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral. Once happy, stamp the wording in black. I didn't want the wording all together so I masked off the words 'your side' before inking so that those words were not stamped as I wanted them to the right of my ducks. Now do the same again masking off the words at the top so that only the words 'your side' are stamped to the right of the image.

Take the dinky flower stencil and some wet paper towel and dab through the stencil to lift some of the ink in a few places. Take the heart stencil and blend through with the fired brick distress ink randomly. I did some lighter and some darker.  Take the bar code stamp and stamp with black ink to ground the ducks. 

Now for some more background stamping. I just love this stamp set by Leonie. My favourite is the messy circles as I call them. Stamp these with the Orange Blossom randomly, making sure some are stamped off the card. Then take the textured love heart and stamp with the Plum ink randomly. Now happy with the background, remove the masking tape to reveal the ducks. I took two shades of grey pencils to very lightly colour the shaded areas and two shades of orange for the beaks.

Mount onto some red card and again onto a lighter orange/red card. Now mount onto a piece of white card leaving an inch at the top. Cut off the corners and punch a hole. Die cut two red hearts and punch a hole in the middle to use as hole reinforcements, and glue over the hole. Thread through a piece of ribbon and then make a double bow and glue in place with a hot glue gun.

New Beginnings

Hello and welcome. Here tonight with a very quick make. When time is short and an idea comes into your mind it is nice to be able to make something simple rather than nothing at all. Just love these words.

Here's what I used...

Distress Ink... Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, Milled Lavender and Spun Sugar.

Distress Oxide Ink... Picked Raspberry.

Ranger Archival Ink... Plum.

Clear Embossing Powder.

Heat Gun.

White Ribbon.

Here's what I did...

I began with a piece of card measuring 5" x 8". Blend over the card with the victorian velvet, milled lavender and spun sugar until happy. Take the stencil and blend through with the seedless preserve around the edge of the card. Take the wording and stamp it at the top of the card with the onyx black. Take the eyes and stamp with onyx black. Take the nose and lips but just ink up the nose with onyx black. Dust over the lower part of the card with an anti static pad and then ink up the lips with the picked raspberry distress oxide ink and cover with clear embossing powder. Heat from the back until melted. Now ink up the lips again using the archival ink in plum and stamp over the lips again. Using the same ink and the small dot circles stamp from the PaperArtsy stamp set, stamp around the edge at random.

Mount onto black card. I then chose a matching piece of glitter card before mounting onto white card, leaving an inch at the top. Round off the corners at the top and punch a hole for the ribbon. Using the glitter card, cut two hole reinforcements and glue over the hole in the tag.

Now lay some victorian velvet and seedless preserves onto a craft sheet and spritz with water. Drag the ribbon through the ink until covered and blast dry with a heat tool. Cut a piece and thread through the hole and then make a triple bow and glue in place with a hot glue gun.
